ซุ้มประตูและระเบียงคด(Gateways and the Gallery)

          ระเบียงคด ก่อด้วยหินทราย เป็นระเบียงทางเดินหลังคาซุ้มโค้ง มีแผนผังรูปสี่เหลี่ยมผืนผ้าล้อมรอบปราสาทประธาน มีซุ้มประตูอยู่กึ่งกลางทั้ง ๔ ด้าน โดยมีตำแหน่งที่ตั้งตรงกับแนวของประตูเมืองและประตูทางเข้าปราสาทประธาน ปรากฏหลักฐานสำคัญที่ซุ้มประตูระเบียงคดด้านทิศใต้ คือ จารึกบริเวณกรอบประตูด้านทิศตะวันออกของห้องกลาง จารึกด้วยอักษรขอมโบราณภาษาเขมร ระบุชื่อ “กมรเตงชคตวิมาย” และกล่าวถึงการสร้างรูปเคารพสำคัญชื่อ “กมรเตงชคตเสนาบดีไตรโลกยวิชัย” ตรงกับ พ.ศ.๑๖๕๑ ตลอดจนปรากฏพระนามของขุนนางชั้นสูงและพระนามพระมหากษัตริย์ คือ พระเจ้าธรณีนทรวรมันที่ ๑

           The gallery made of red sandstone is a long rectangular building. It surrounds the principal tower of the sanctuary. Similar to Kamphaeng Kaew or boundary wall, there is an arched gateway in the middle of each side of the gallery. The position of each arched gateway is in alignment with a town gate and the entrance to the principal tower. Important evidence of the Phimai sanctuary has been found at the southern entrance of the inner gallery. There is an inscription in ancient Khmer on the door frame, mentioning the erection of a statue of Kamrateng Chakata Vimaya by a local ruler named Senepati Trilokayavijaya in 1108 A.D.
